I have known Janice since the early 1990s. 

In my capacity as an announcer on 4BC Brisbane— and, later, as the station’s Program Director—I came to know, like, and respect Jan enormously.

By the time we met, Jan had already built a reputation as a dream analyst and I was keen to introduce her to our wider audience, with whom she quickly built a strong rapport as the Dream Diva. 

As a Talk station, 4BC encouraged listener interaction with our guests and Jan was always one of our most popular contributors. 

All the announcers—including Peter Dick, Anthony Frangi (now Manager at ABC Brisbane) and John Scott–invited her on regularly. The response from our large audience was always enthusiastic and there was never a shortage of people wanting to chat with her. 

As Program Director I would regularly conduct focus groups and the feedback on Jan was always positive and respectful. She was consistently one of our most popular ‘regulars’.

The reasons for that are apparent when you hear her: a lovely voice, a gentle and pleasant nature, and a deep knowledge in her chosen field. 

Her enthusiasm was matched only by the depth of her expertise and a willingness to share it. 

Dreams are immensely fascinating, and, like all great communicators, Jan possessed the ability to make the complicated both accessible and interesting.

It’s wonderful that she has pursued her studies (including taking a deep dive into faiyry tales and archetypes) so that others might benefit, and I recommend her without reservation (and with great pleasure).
